Maryland Hospitals for a Healthy Environment (MD H2E), in partnership with the Beacon Institute of LifeSpan Network, is hosting a long term care event this spring, with an opportunity to learn about environmental sustainability practices as they fit into senior living facilities. This conference is the first of its kind to bring you examples from other long term care facilities in the area and connect you with resources to help you get started on your sustainability journey. This conference will offer an introductory 101-style meeting for Senior Care organizations  on how health care is Going Green!

This will be an interactive learning opportunity with the chance to connect and learn from hospitals, chefs and other senior care facilities who have sustainability programs already in place. Sustainable health care practices promote new roles for retired citizens that will benefit their physical, mental and emotional health. Increasing community collaboration with regards to sustainable and local food production will benefit producers, consumers and the environment and will foster increased self-reliance among communities.

**CE credits available for Nursing Home Administrators, Assisted Living Managers and Social Workers!!**
