MD H2E Trailblazer Education Series
You are invited to attend University of Maryland Medical Center’s
Hazardous Pharmaceutical Waste Management Session
As a winner of MD H2E’s 2010 Trailblazer Awards, UMMC is hosting an afternoon session on their pharmaceutical waste program. Come learn, lunch and more!
UMMC developed a new hazardous pharmaceutical waste management program in January 2010. Titled, “The Safe Handling and Disposal of Hazardous Medications”, the policy addresses both worker and environmental safety.
The session will be led by Denise Choiniere, MS, RN and Bethany Shelbourne, PharmD, and is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and learn the nitty-gritty of developing and implementing such a program.
